Idol group iKON has emerged as a new blue chip in the world of advertisements, being picked as the commercial model for smart phones.

On the 23 this month, iKON announced the news that they have signed contract to work as the commercial model for LG’s smart phone products. Before the news, iKON member SONG YUNHYEONG was picked as the commercial model for Nivea’s lip balm products.

LG’s smart phone products for which iKON will serve as the commercial model are “Stylus 2”, “X Screen”, and “X Cam”. On-line commercial “I love it” in which iKON will appear as the model is created in the form of mini-drama. It is about a love triangle between a woman and three men. The story also depicts features and functions of each product line. Kim Ji-Soo, a member of YG’s rookie girl group, will act the woman in the love triangle with iKON.

On the 18 this month, episode “Confession” in which KIM JINHWAN is matched with “Stylus 2” was unveiled along with a teaser video. The video surpassed the 500,000 view mark within five days of release.

Beginning from the “Confession” episode, LG Electronics will release “Bad Guy” episode where B.I acts for “X Screen” and then “Reminiscence” episode where BOBBY acts for “X Cam” one by one. The videos are available on official YouTube channel of LG Electronics Mobile. In celebration of the release of the videos, a special event will be offered on LG Electronics’ Facebook from the 23. iKON members will appear in surprise videos for the event.

While working as a commercial model for different products, iKON is continuing with their Asian tour concert, holding concert in Taipei on April 22 and in Hong Kong on May 7.
