YG Entertainment has created a new group following BIGBANG, WINNER and iKON. The lead of it is an SBS ‘Kpop Star Season 2’ runner-up.

In an independent coverage made by OSEN on the 13th, they uncovered that YG Entertainment is now preparing a new boy group which consists of 15 to 17 years old members – the youngest Kpop boy group in the world which aims to debut in July.

In 2013, Bang Yedam, who took the second place on ‘Kpop Star Season 2’ had trained for so many years before embarking in an official debut as a musician. He concentrated on his training while being completely obscured from the outside world, taking his place as the group’s main vocals.

An official closely related with YG’s internal affairs said, “Compared to the fact that the average age of BIGBANG, WINNER and iKON is in their early 20’s when they debuted in YG, the new boy group is more unconventional with 15 to 17 year olds, who have trained for 5 years and have successfully passed the standards of producer Yang Hyun Suk that they can be even considered as veterans”.

In the photo acquired by OSEN from the show, he have grown into a warm middle school student. His height have also reached 170cm inside YG Entertainment’s trendy and unique atmosphere. He has literally grown well.

When he first appeared on ‘Kpop Star Season 2’, he was only 12 years old. However, he captivated the audience along with his dancing skills while singing Justin Bieber‘s “Baby”, Stevie Wonder‘s “Isn’t She Lovely“, the Cultural Club‘s “Karma Chameleon” and Michael Jackson‘s “Black Or White“.

SM, YG, and JYP judges all fell in love with Bang Yedam, and the audience support was also great. It was just like yesterday when when he won as a runner-up to Akdong Musician and signed a contract with YG Entertainment. After his professional training, the rough gem, Yedam have grown into a YG gem.

We would be witnessing his debut in the summer. YG Entertainment is currently concentrating on the comeback of iKON, WINNER, BLACKPINK and SECHSKIES around April to June.

YG Entertainment sure have a busy year in 2017.
