BLACKPINK JENNIE’s First Solo Broadcast on This Week’s ‘Inkigayo’! ‘Sturdy Popularity’ Despite the Comeback Rush


JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ is maintaining its no.1 on real-time music charts for 10 days, proving its sturdy popularity. 

JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ received heated interest by the public as it topped Korean real-time charts as soon as the song was released on the 12th.

As of November 21, 10 AM, ‘SOLO’ was placed at no.1 on Olleh, Genie, and Melon, Korea’s largest music platform. Her ‘long-run popularity’ in music charts despite the comeback rush by other popular artists grabbed the public’s attention. 

JENNIE is proving her strong presence even though it is hard for female solo artists to achieve successful results in Korean music charts. She achieved a ‘perfect all-kill’ on the weekly charts for the 2nd week of November announced by music platforms including Melon, Naver, Olleh, Bugs, Soribada, Genie, Mnet, and Monkey 3. JENNIE did not stop at topping real-time and daily charts but is continuing her unstoppable rush by dominating weekly charts as well.

Furthermore, the MV for ‘SOLO’ is about to surpass 70 million views. After surpassing 10 million views in 15 hours since its release, the MV surpassed 60 million views in 6 days, renewing the fastest records previously held by other female solo artists. 

The public’s response on the choreography videos are also explosive. The ‘SOLO’ CHOREOGRAPHY UNEDITED VERSION video released on the 16th due to the music broadcast break this weekend almost reached 15 million views. The ‘SOLO’ CHOREOGRAPHY ALTERNATE EDITED VERSION released on the 17th also surpassed 1.5 million views. 

JENNIE’s ‘SOLO’ topped iTunes Charts in 40 different countries as soon as the song was released while topping the iTunes Worldwide Song Chart for the first time as a Korean female solo artist, setting a milestone. The record was achieved among Pop stars including Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. 

Also, the song ‘SOLO’ also made it into Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday’, the major new releases playlist, and Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ playlist. The song was also listed on Amazon Music’s new releases playlist titled, ‘Brand New Music’, while JENNIE’s photo was uploaded as the representative image of ‘Girl Squad’, a playlist for female musicians, letting the people realize JENNIE’s influential power.

As mentioned above, JENNIE is proving her presence by setting milestones in the K-Pop scene. She will have her first comeback broadcast through SBS ‘Inkigayo’ airing on the 25th. As it will be her first-ever solo performance on a music broadcast, the fans are excited more than ever.
