Girl group BLACKPINK perfectly fascinated Jakarta, the second city of their first-ever world tour.
On January 19th and 20th, BLACKPINK held the ‘BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] JAKARTA’ in ‘ICE BSD’, Jakarta, Indonesia to share a special moment with local fans.
BLACKPINK presented various performances including their debut track ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘WHISTLE’, and ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’, their biggest hit which recently surpassed 600 million YouTube views.
The audiences in not only the standing section, but also the second-floor seats waved BLACKPINK’s official light sticks called ‘ppyong bong’ and sang-along to all songs in Korean from start to finish.
The members’ solo performances were also amazing. The performances of the 4 unique individuals included JISOO’s ‘CLARITY’, LISA’s ‘TAKE ME’ and ‘SWALLA’, ROSÉ’s cover songs and dances of ‘LET IT BE’, ‘YOU & I’, and ‘Only Look at Me’, and JENNIE’s first debut solo track ‘SOLO’.
The special visual effects also helped the mood of the concert to become livelier. Effects such as fireworks, lasers, and fog made BLACKPINK’s concert in Jakarta even more plentiful.
The members asked, “Did you miss us? Thank you for welcoming us warmly and leaving us precious memories” in local language, presenting a heartwarming moment for the fans.
ROSÉ presented perfect fan service by attempting a stadium wave during the concert to create pink waves and taking commemorative photos with the fans.
After 120 minutes of nonstop performances, BLACKPINK shared their gratitude by stating, “We were nervous, but we were able to finish well thanks to the fans”. They added, “We’ll remember this moment forever”.
Following their concert in Jakarta, BLACKPINK will perform in Hong Kong on the 26th and continue through Manila, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei to North America, Europe, and Australia.
