BLACKPINK began their first-ever Europe tour in Amsterdam.

On May 18(local time), BLACKPINK held the ‘BLACKPINK 2019 WORLD TOUR with KIA [IN YOUR AREA] AMSTERDAM’ in AFAS LIVE, Amsterdam to meet their Dutch fans.

As it was the beginning of their first-ever Europe tour, their concert in Amsterdam heated up as soon as it began. When the epic intro of ‘DDU-DU DDU-DU’ and ‘FOREVER YOUNG’ started playing, BLINKs of Amsterdam greeted BLACKPINK with a huge roar.

After the group performed ‘BOOMBAYAH’, ‘STAY’, and the acoustic version of ‘WHISTLE’, the solo performances by the members continued. The diverse and lively charms by the individual members grabbed the fans’ attention in full.

What fascinated the fans the most was their latest song, ‘KILL THIS LOVE’. When the intro of the song played out, the fans became united while singing along with the biggest roar and passion.

BLACKPINK continued to connect with the fans while roaming the main stage. Audiences waved at BLACKPINK’s movement regardless of age and gender, while completely enjoying the show.

The LED screen hand transforming and vivid graphics being presented throughout, providing more spectacle for the fans of BLACKPINK.

‘NOS Jeugdjournaal’, the Dutch public service broadcast and teenage version of news channel NOS, highlighted the meaning of BLACKPINK’s concert by reporting that “BLACKPINK had their first-ever concert in Holland” through their social media account. In addition, they revealed their frustration on the fact that BLACKPINK’s music is not covered often by local broadcasts, despite the fact that the group is currently globally active, which grabbed the people’s attention.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s ‘KILL THIS LOVE’ was ranked at no. 92 on UK Official Chart’s ‘Official Singles Chart Top 100’ announced on the 17th.

BLACKPINK was ranked at UK Official Chart’s ‘Official Singles Chart Top 100’, which is known as one of the three biggest music charts of the world, for 6 consecutive weeks while establishing their position in the European music market. 

Following their concert in Amsterdam, BLACKPINK will perform in Manchester on the 21st, in London on the 22nd, in Berlin on the 24th, in Paris on the 26th, and in Barcelona on the 28th to continue their Europe tour in 6 different regions of Europe.
